Dr Rimas V Lukas, Northwestern University, provides a summary of the paper “Pleomorphic xanthoastrocytoma: a brief review” published recently in CNS Oncology. In the video, Dr Lukas discusses the clinical presentation of pleomorphic xanthoastrocytoma, summarising the molecular pathology, prognosis and therapeutic management of this rare primary CNS tumor.

About the author:

Dr Rimas V Lukas is a neuro-oncologist focused on the clinical care of patients with primary central nervous system tumors as well as central nervous system metastases. His research focuses on development and management of clinical trials of novel therapeutics for central nervous system tumors. Much of this is accomplished via close collaboration with his basic science colleagues at the Malnati Brain Tumor Institute at Northwestern University.
